These are the questions players ask most often about getting started, league night, scoring, handicaps, substitutes, the Wallet, and Golf-IQ.

Getting Started

How do I join Golf League HQ?

Start by creating your Golf League HQ account.

You'll provide your first and last name, email address, password, and date of birth.

Once your account is created, you can either Join a League or Create a League.

How do I join my league?

Choose Join a League and enter the invite code provided by your league administrator.

Your invite code connects your Golf League HQ account to the correct league.

Where do I get my invite code?

Your league administrator provides the invite code.

If you haven't received one, contact the person who manages your league.

I created an account. Why don't I see my league?

Creating your account and joining your league are separate steps.

After creating your account, select Join a League and enter the invite code provided by your league administrator.

Can I create my own league?

Yes.

If you're starting a new league rather than joining an existing one, choose Create a League.

Golf League HQ will first guide you through creating your organization and then your first league.

What is an organization?

An organization is the home for your leagues and players.

When creating your own league, you'll create an organization before creating your first league.

Why does Golf League HQ ask for my date of birth?

Your date of birth is used to determine Senior Tee eligibility.

Senior Tee eligibility applies to players turning 65 or older during the current year. Your commissioner approves eligibility before Senior Tees become active.

Profile & Settings

Where are my Settings?

Open the Me tab.

Your personal Settings area includes access to your Profile, Sub Availability, wallet information, and other player features.

What information is stored in my Profile?

Your Profile includes:

• Display name
• First name
• Last name
• Preferred Tee
• Date of birth

What is my Preferred Tee?

Preferred Tee records the tee you normally prefer to play.

When a round's course has a matching tee, Golf League HQ can use your Preferred Tee in the pairing system for handicap calculation.

Can I change my Preferred Tee?

Yes.

Open your Profile from the Me tab and update your Preferred Tee.

What happens if the course doesn't have my Preferred Tee?

If your Preferred Tee isn't available for a round, check the tee assignment shown for that round or contact your commissioner.

How do Senior Tees work?

Golf League HQ uses your date of birth to determine Senior Tee eligibility.

Eligibility applies to players turning 65 or older during the current year.

Your commissioner approves eligibility before Senior Tees become active.

Does turning 65 automatically put me on the Senior Tees?

No.

Commissioner approval is required before Senior Tees activate.

My Bag

What is My Bag?

My Bag lets you keep track of the golf clubs you play.

You can record your clubs, average distances, and notes.

How many clubs can I add?

My Bag supports up to 14 clubs.

Can I track my club distances?

Yes.

You can record an average distance for each club.

Does Golf League HQ connect to GHIN?

GHIN integration is Coming Soon. We'll update this guide when it's available.

What about Arccos?

Arccos integration is Coming Soon. We'll update this guide when it's available.

What about USGA integration?

USGA integration is Coming Soon. We'll update this guide when it's available.

Pairings & League Night

Where do I find my pairing?

Open the Round tab.

Once your commissioner has set the pairings, your pairing card appears there.

Why does it say I haven't been assigned to a team?

Your commissioner may not have published the pairings yet.

Golf League HQ has a specific pre-pairing state that tells you when you haven't been assigned.

That message does not by itself mean there's a problem with your account.

Who creates the pairings?

Your commissioner sets the pairings.

What information appears after I'm paired?

Your pairing card shows:

• Team number
• Partner name

Where do I find information about tonight's round?

Open the Round Overview.

It includes round details, live weather conditions, and access to Start Scoring and the Live Leaderboard.

Does Golf League HQ show the weather?

Yes. Live weather conditions appear on your Round Overview.

Scoring

How do I start scoring?

Open your Round Overview and select Start Scoring.

This opens the Golf League HQ scorecard.

How many holes are on the scorecard?

The scorecard is an 18-hole grid.

How do I enter a score?

Enter the appropriate score for the current hole.

After a score is entered, Golf League HQ automatically advances to the next hole.

Does the scorecard automatically move to the next hole?

Yes. Golf League HQ advances to the next hole after you enter a score.

Can I score for my partner?

Yes. Scoring options include:

• Yourself
• Partner
• Scan later

What does Scan later do?

Scan later is one of the scoring options available when you start scoring. Select it and follow the instructions shown in Golf League HQ.

What do CTP, Long Drive, and Closest to Line mean on the scorecard?

These are special-hole contests identified by the scorecard legend:

• CTP
• Long Drive
• Closest to Line

Can I see my running score?

Yes.

The scorecard includes a running total as you play.

Score Verification

What should I do when I've finished all 18 holes?

Review your completed scorecard.

If everything looks correct, select Verify Scores.

What does Verify Scores do?

Verification locks the scorecard and moves it into the opponent-approval process.

Why is my scorecard greyed out?

Once you select Verify Scores, the card locks and your scores appear greyed out while they await opponent approval.

Can I edit my scores after I verify them?

Verifying locks the scorecard while it awaits opponent approval, so scores can't be edited in that state. If something is wrong, ask your opponent to select Dispute when reviewing the card, or contact your commissioner.

Why did I get a survey after verifying my score?

Golf League HQ shows a short, optional feedback survey — about 30 seconds — after you verify your scores. You can skip it.

Approving Scores

Why am I being asked to approve a scorecard?

Score approval is part of Golf League HQ's verification process.

When it's your turn to review a playing partner's scorecard, Golf League HQ presents an approval prompt.

What options do I have?

You can choose:

• Approve
• Dispute

When should I select Approve?

Select Approve after reviewing the scorecard and confirming that it is correct.

What if the scorecard is wrong?

Select Dispute.

What happens after I dispute a score?

Select Dispute and follow the instructions shown in Golf League HQ. Your commissioner can help resolve any scoring disagreement for your league.

Handicaps & Net Scores

Where is my net score?

Your net score becomes visible once both scores are approved and locked.

Why can't I see my net score yet?

The score verification and approval process may not be complete.

Once both scores are approved and locked, Golf League HQ makes the net score and handicap-adjusted +/- visible.

What is handicap-adjusted +/-?

It's your score relative to par after your handicap is applied. Golf League HQ displays it once both scores are approved and locked.

How does Golf League HQ calculate my handicap?

Golf League HQ maintains your handicap from your league scoring activity, and your league may apply its own handicap settings. Your commissioner can confirm how handicaps are handled for your league.

Does my Preferred Tee affect my handicap?

It can.

When the round's course has a matching tee, Golf League HQ uses your Preferred Tee in the pairing system for handicap calculation.

Does Golf League HQ automatically sync with GHIN?

Not yet. GHIN integration is Coming Soon, and we'll update this guide when it's available.

Live Leaderboard

Where is the Live Leaderboard?

Open the Round Overview and select Live Leaderboard.

Does the leaderboard update during the round?

Yes. The Live Leaderboard shows real-time standings for the round.

Can we show the leaderboard on a clubhouse TV?

Yes.

The Live Leaderboard includes a Cast to TV option.

Substitutes

How do I become available as a substitute?

Open the Me tab and select Sub Availability.

Choose the leagues where you'd like to be available as a substitute.

Do I have to be a substitute?

No.

Substitute availability is optional.

Can I choose which leagues I'm available for?

Yes.

Sub Availability lets you select which leagues you'd like to be available to substitute for.

Who assigns substitutes?

Commissioners of the leagues where you've made yourself available can assign you when a substitute is needed.

Does making myself available mean I'm automatically scheduled?

No.

Making yourself available tells commissioners that you're part of the available substitute pool.

The commissioner makes the assignment.

Can I change my availability?

Yes.

You can update your Sub Availability later from Settings.

How will I know I've been assigned?

Your commissioner assigns substitutes, and your assignment appears in Golf League HQ with the round. Your commissioner can confirm how your league communicates sub assignments.

Can I accept or decline a sub request?

Follow the instructions shown in Golf League HQ when a sub request appears. Additional options may appear based on your league setup.

Wallet & Dues

Where is my Wallet?

Open the Me tab and view your personal Settings.

What can I see in my Wallet?

Your Wallet shows:

• Wallet balance
• Buy-in activity by league

Where can I see outstanding dues?

The Dashboard includes a Dues Outstanding summary.

How do I pay my dues?

Open your Wallet from the Me tab and follow the instructions shown in Golf League HQ. Additional options may appear based on your league setup, and your commissioner can confirm how your league collects dues.

Golf-IQ

What is Golf-IQ?

Golf-IQ is the analytics experience inside Golf League HQ.

How do I unlock Golf-IQ?

Play a verified round. Complete your scorecard and select Verify Scores to unlock your Golf-IQ analytics.

What is a verified round?

Golf League HQ's scoring process includes completing your scorecard and selecting Verify Scores.

After verification, the card locks for opponent approval.

What statistics does Golf-IQ show?

Golf-IQ is Golf League HQ's analytics experience, built from your verified rounds. As additional metrics become available, we'll explain each one here.

Where do I find Golf-IQ?

Golf-IQ appears in the My Bag area of your player settings.

Will Golf-IQ use Arccos or GHIN?

Arccos and GHIN integrations are Coming Soon. We'll update this guide when they're available.

Beer Tracker

What is Beer Tracker?

Beer Tracker is an optional Golf League HQ scoring feature that tracks beer-related statistics alongside your round.

Do I have to use Beer Tracker?

No.

Beer Tracker is optional.

Where do I turn it on?

Select Start Scoring and turn on the Beer Tracker toggle in the scoring options.

What does Beer Tracker show?

Beer Tracker shows:

• Total beers this round
• Scoring average before beer 3
• Scoring average after beer 3

Does Beer Tracker change my score?

No. Beer Tracker is an optional feature with its own statistics and doesn't affect your golf score.

Using Golf League HQ on Your Phone

Can I add Golf League HQ to my Home Screen?

Yes.

The Settings overview includes a prompt to add Golf League HQ to your phone's Home Screen.

Why would I add it to my Home Screen?

It gives you one-tap access to Golf League HQ when you're ready to play.
