Solo Rounds
Solo Rounds
Play and track a round outside your league with Solo Rounds in Golf League HQ.
Want to play without a league round on the schedule?
Solo Rounds let you score and track your own round in Golf League HQ without posting anything to a league.
You don't need to belong to a league to play a Solo Round.
Overview
A Solo Round uses the same familiar Golf League HQ scorecard you use during league play, but the round belongs to you rather than a league.
You can:
- Choose your course and tee
- Play 9 or 18 holes
- Enter scores hole by hole
- Record Golf-IQ stats
- Use Beer Tracker when enabled
- Continue scoring if your connection drops
- Verify and lock your completed scorecard
- Review the round later from your player stats
Solo Rounds do not affect league standings, teams, skins, dues, wallet activity, or your Golf League HQ handicap.
Before You Begin
You must be signed in to Golf League HQ.
You do not need:
- A league membership
- A scheduled league round
- A partner
- An opponent
- Commissioner approval
You'll need a course with at least one tee configured before you can start scoring.
Start a Solo Round
1. Select Play a solo round
You can start a Solo Round from the Dashboard or from Me → Stats.
Select Play a solo round.
2. Name your round
Enter a name for the round.
The round name is required.
Choose something you'll recognize later, such as:
- Saturday at Pine Valley
- Practice Round
3. Choose the date and tee time
Select the date of your round and your tee time.
The date defaults to today and the tee time defaults to the current time.

5. Select your tee
After choosing the course, select the tee you're playing.
Golf League HQ displays available tee information including the tee name, rating, slope, and yardage when available.
If the course doesn't have any tees configured, you won't be able to start the round.
6. Choose 9 or 18 holes
Choose whether you're playing:
- 9 holes
- 18 holes
If you're playing nine holes on an 18-hole course, Golf League HQ will also ask which nine you're playing when applicable.
7. Start scoring
Once the required information is complete, select Start scoring.
Golf League HQ creates your Solo Round and takes you directly to the scorecard.
Score Your Round
Solo Rounds use the same Golf League HQ scorecard experience as league rounds.
Enter your score

You can also enter scores manually.
Golf League HQ normally advances automatically after you enter a score.
Record a pickup
If needed, you can record a pickup using X.
Golf League HQ records the pickup using the scoring behavior shown on the scorecard.
Track Golf-IQ stats
The scorecard includes Golf-IQ stat tracking for your Solo Round.
You can enter the available Golf-IQ information while scoring each hole.
If you interact with the Golf-IQ panel, use Next hole to continue.
On the final hole, that button changes to Finish.
Verify Your Solo Round
Once you've finished scoring, review your scorecard and verify the round.
1. Complete your scores
When every hole has a score, Golf League HQ displays:
All holes complete — tap Verify Scores
2. Review your scorecard

Note

Verify Scores is the action that verifies and locks your scorecard.

Solo Rounds and Your Handicap
Solo Rounds do not update your Golf League HQ handicap.
Handicap recalculation is tied to league rounds.
You can still use Solo Rounds to record scores and Golf-IQ information without changing your Golf League HQ handicap.
What Solo Rounds Don't Affect
A Solo Round isn't attached to a league.
That means it does not affect:
- League standings
- Teams
- Skins

- Wallet activity
Solo Rounds give you a way to record your golf in Golf League HQ without posting the round to one of your leagues.
