Scoring

Golf League HQ replaces the traditional paper scorecard with a live digital scoring experience built for league play.

Enter scores as you play, follow your running total, verify the completed scorecard, and finish the round with opponent approval.

Overview

The scoring process follows a simple flow:

  • Start Scoring
  • Choose your scoring options
  • Enter scores
  • Complete all holes
  • Verify your scorecard
  • Wait for opponent approval
  • View your finalized scoring information

The Live Leaderboard lets you follow the round while play is still underway.

Before You Begin

Open the Round Overview for the round you're playing.

When you're ready, select Start Scoring.

Golf League HQ opens the scorecard for the round.

The scorecard opens ready for score entry.

Step-by-Step

1. Start the scorecard

Select Start Scoring from the Round Overview.

2. Choose your scoring options

Golf League HQ lets you choose how you're scoring.

You can choose to score for:

  • Yourself
  • Your partner
  • Scan later

You can also choose whether to enable:

  • Beer Tracker
  • Birdie Shot alerts
Choose how you're scoring before you start.

3. Enter scores

Enter the appropriate score for each hole.

After a score is entered, Golf League HQ automatically advances to the next hole.

4. Follow your progress

Enter a score and Golf League HQ advances to the next hole.

As you play, the scorecard keeps your hole-by-hole scores and running total together.

The scorecard also identifies special-hole contests such as:

  • CTP
  • Long Drive
  • Closest to Line

5. Complete the round

Once all holes are entered, review the completed scorecard.

6. Verify your scores

When everything looks correct, select Verify Scores.

Verification locks the scorecard and sends it into the opponent-approval process.

Review the completed card, then select Verify Scores.

7. Wait for approval

While awaiting approval, your scores are locked and greyed out.

Your opponent can approve or dispute the scorecard.

Your opponent reviews the card and approves or disputes it.

8. View finalized scoring

Once both scores are approved and locked, Golf League HQ makes the net score and handicap-adjusted +/- visible.

Net score and handicap-adjusted +/- appear once scores are locked.

Paper Backup: Printed Scorecards

Digital scoring is the default, but your Commissioner or Secretary can also generate printable, hand-fillable scorecards for a round from the round's pairings area. Printed cards carry the real course and tee data, each player's handicap, signature lines, and instructions to return the signed card to the league Secretary.

Use them when a group prefers paper, when cell service is unreliable, or as a backup to the digital card.
